CHTAF has been working to provide essential medical services to the children of Sri Lanka since 2004.

In CHTAF’s sixth year the following were achieved:

  1. Sponsored vital life saving heart operations on ten children at Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Galle, Sri Lanka
  2. Provided all medical and surgical requirements free of charge to sixteen children who needed emergency life saving heart operations. This was in addition to the ten children above.
  3. Sponsored a surgical mission to Jaffna to complete Cleft Lip and Palate surgery on children of North East Sri Lanka. The team operated on twenty children with complex facial deformities over two days.
  4. Donated essential surgical equipment needed for Oral Maxillofacial Surgery worth over £1000.00

 

CHTAF hopes to achieve the following in the next year:

  1. Continue to sponsor life saving heart operations on children
  2. Continue to sponsor missions to North East Sri Lanka to complete Cleft Lip and Palate surgery
  3. Continue to donate essential medical and surgical equipment
  4. Provide better care for children with cancer
